Pafos FC has decided to let go head coach Steven Pressley and his assistant coach Bryan Reid.
Steven was appointed as the main team’s head coach in January 2018 after the departure of Luka Elsner and was warmly welcomed by the players and the fans. However the administration of the club decided that a change in leadership is necessary in this time. According to the first results of the new season, Pafos has not achieved the level of competitive excellence that was expected. Pafos wants to emphasize that this decision should not detract from the substantial contribution Steven has made on behalf of Pafos during his tenure.
Roman Dubov: ‘’ Steven has brought discipline to the team and we value his input. But now it is time to concentrate on different qualities to continue our way to success. We wish Steven and his family nothing but the best and also we thank his assistant coach as well, for his contributions to our club.’’
The board of directors understands the complicity of the situation and is working hard towards finding a candidate, who can bring Pafos to new heights. The decision will be well thought through considering all the circumstances.
The club would like to thank all the fans for their support and is looking forward towards new wins of Pafos on the pitch. #YouArePafos!
