Η ομάδα μας επικράτησε της Ανόρθωσης Αμμοχώστου με σκορ 1-3 στον χθεσινό αγώνα για την 5η αγωνιστική του Πρωταθλήματος. Η Πάφος είχε την κατοχή από την έναρξη του Α’ ημιχρόνου αλλά τις αρκετές ευκαιρίες για γκολ και τις τις προϋποθέσεις για να απειλήσουν την αντίπαλη εστία δεν τις εκμεταλλεύτηκαν οι ποδοσφαιριστές μας. Στο 42′, σε μία από τις ελάχιστες αντεπιθέσεις της Ανόρθωσης ο Da Cruz με σουτ άνοιξε το σκορ.
Με την έναρξη του δεύτερου μισού και μόλις στο 2ο λεπτό ο Yoram Zague έστειλε την μπάλα στα δίκτυα με δυνατό σουτ από πλάγια θέση. Ο νεαρός Γάλλος σημείωσε το πρώτο του γκολ με την φανέλα της Πάφου και στο Κυπριακό πρωτάθλημα. Δύο λεπτά μετά το γκολ της ισοφάρισης, η ομάδα της επαρχίας μας έφθασε στην ανατροπή, με τον Lele να σκοράρει από κοντά προ κενής εστίας μετά από πάσα του Biel. Στο 54ο λεπτό η Πάφος έφθασε κοντά και σε ένα τρίτο γκολ, με τον Pepe να σημαδεύει το οριζόντιο δοκάρι. Το τελικό 1-3 διαμορφώθηκε στο 57’ και πάλι με τον Lele.

Our team defeated Anorthosis Famagusta 1-3 in yesterday’s match for the 5th Game-Day of the Championship. Pafos controlled possession from the start of the first half, but our players failed to capitalize on the numerous scoring opportunities and chances to threaten the opponent’s goal. In the 42nd minute, during one of Anorthosis’s few counterattacks, Da Cruz opened the scoring with a shot.
At the start of the second half, just after two minutes in, Yoram Zague found the back of the net with a powerful shot from a wide angle. The young Frenchman scored his first goal in a Pafos jersey and in the Cypriot league. Two minutes after the equalizer, our provincial team completed the comeback, with Lele scoring from close range into an empty net following a pass from Biel. In the 54th minute, Paphos came close to scoring a third goal, with Pepe hitting the crossbar. The final score of 1–3 was set in the 57th minute, once again by Lele.
